MedStats member, Dr Douiri, with colleagues publishes in British Journal of British Practise

The study titled ‘ Early diagnostic suggestions improve accuracy of GPs: a randomised controlled trial using computer-simulated patients’, aimed to determine ‘whether providing GPs with diagnoses to consider before they start testing hypotheses improves accuracy’.

The study concluded that diagnostic accuracy can be improved by reminding GPs of diagnoses prior to hypothesis testing.
